Clean Marine AS

Clean Marine AS was founded in 2006 and is owned 50/50 by Klaveness Invest AS and Clue AS.

The company was founded as a vehicle to develop and market Exhaust Gas Cleaning System (EGCS) for the marine industry.

Since its beginning the company has been actively involved in testing and development of a scrubber design based on the AVC (www.vortex-envirotech.com) principle and technology.

Following several tests with a 1MW unit in Holeby together with MAN in 2006-2008 and the full scale test onboard the Klaveness controlled vessel "Baru" in 2009, the company intend to enter the market in 2010 with a system fulfilling all relevant requirements adopted by IMO MEPC October 2008.
